Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veteran Resource and Recovery Navigator to join our team. This position is designed to support justice-involved veterans in Casa Grande, providing a combination of in-office and remote assistance. The role offers flexible hours, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of veterans within their community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Benefits Coordination: Assist veterans in navigating and accessing benefits, including healthcare, housing, and educational resources.
- Basic Needs Support: Help veterans meet essential needs, such as food, clothing, and transportation.
- Recovery Capital Building: Empower veterans to build recovery capital through personal development, skill-building, and connecting to recovery resources.
- Community Engagement: Actively participate in the local recovery community, attending and supporting events and meetings.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with local resources and organizations that serve veterans, fostering a network of support for those in need.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Priority consideration will be given to applicants with experience in the military or as a military family member, and those with histories of substance use and incarceration.
- Recovery: Must have at least 1 year of self-attested recovery from substance use or a mental health condition.
- Certification: Peer Recovery Support Specialist Certification is preferred but not required. We are committed to providing training to the right candidate.
