Job Overview:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in the Portable Sanitation Industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer invoicing, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

1. Generate and send out customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

2. Monitor accounts to ensure payments are received within the established terms.

3. Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues with customers/banks.

4. Follow up on outstanding accounts and coordinate with customers to secure payment.

5. Process credit card payments, checks, and other forms of payments received.

6. Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to accounts receivable.

7. Collaborate with the sales and operations (customer service) teams to address billing and invoicing inquiries.

8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in the accounting system.

9. Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.

10. Generate Accounts Receivable and Cash reports and summarize key trends for management.

11. Adhere to company policies and procedures related to billing and accounts receivable.

12. Prepare and file all state sales tax reports, which are generated from cash receipts.

13. Build and maintain a mastery of the Accounts Receivable systems. Work with any customers to investigate and resolve issues relating to Accounts Receivable or related reporting.

14. Other duties, as assigned.

Annual Salary Range: $19.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in billing and accounts receivable, preferably in the portable sanitation industry.

3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

7. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
