CGI Federal is seeking a Database Architect responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a cloud and / or container-based database architecture and infrastructure to support the development, sustainment, and operational needs for the DoD Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) in support of Advana System Integration and Operations. This role is critical to ensuring system reliability, data integrity, and performance optimization across various intelligence and defense applications. This position is located in our Washington DC office; however, a hybrid working model may be acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

- Establish database management systems, standards, requirements, guidelines and quality assurance for database deliverables, such as conceptual design and architecture, logical database, capacity planning, external data interface specification, data loading plan, data maintenance plan and security policy.
- Work with clients to translate business requirements into a logical model that will accurately support and represent the client’s entity relationship and flow of data.
- Develop the appropriate database framework to convert the logical model into a physical model including the creation and maintenance of schemas containing windows, screens, tables and columns and reports that support the model; and make recommendations to maximize operating efficiency, support storage requirements and vendor software updates, enforce data governance, ensure recovery is maintained.
- Participate in quality assurance and develop test application code in client server environment.

To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $195,200.00.
