CGI Federal is currently seeking a Data Architect SME with active Top-Secret / SCI clearances to support a large project for a federal government client.

This position can be filled in Washington, DC.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

As a Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our data infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture and cloud technologies.

Lead the migration of our data warehouse, ensuring data integrity and a seamless transition while optimizing for data models, data storage, performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

Design data architecture required changes to existing pipelines to / from data source systems.

Optimize data pipelines and ETL processes for performance and reliability, regularly monitoring and improving data systems and processes.

Develop and enforce data modeling, data governance, and data management standards while ensuring data security and compliance with industry regulations.

Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, providing guidance and recommendations for data-related decisions

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related discipline.

Minimum of 10 years experience as a Data Architect.

Proven experience as a Data Architect, with a focus on data warehouse migration.

In-depth understanding of Azure services, networking, security, and identity management.

Strong knowledge of cloud architecture patterns, best practices, and cost optimization strategies.

Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders..

Active Top-Secret / SCI clearance.

Please note that due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $67,800.00 - $165,200.00.
