Position Description :
CGI Federal is actively seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has the ability to ask good questions, listen to what others are saying, and stay engaged in conversations intently. They will have a strong interest in DevOps, CI / CD, installing and supporting applications and tools within the SDLC lifecycle, and are able to troubleshoot issues thoroughly. We are looking for senior engineers who have been there and done that.

This position can be located anywhere in the US, but the preferred locations are Fairfax, VA, Lafayette, LA, or Knoxville, TN.
If you are located within 50 miles of a CGI Federal office, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities :
Build, install, deploy, configure, troubleshoot multiple custom-built applications.
Manage configuration and secure multiple environments for several applications.
Participate in Kanban and / or Scrum meetings to plan, prioritize, and estimate work.
Work with Developers and Testers to troubleshoot specific issues, including recreating tests, validating configuration, etc.
Enable higher-quality software services through DevOps culture and tooling
Required qualifications to be successful in this role :
4-year degree in Computer Science or a similar field
5 years of relevant industry experience
GitHub experience or similar source control tools
Extensive experience using Linux and Windows operating systems.
Experience in Cloud and On-Prem to cloud integration .
Experience with Agile Software Development processes, particularly SAFe.
Daily use of tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus, git, and Microsoft Office
Experience setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting multiple CI / CD pipelines on Jenkins.
Experience running, supporting, and troubleshooting containerized applications on Kubernetes or Docker
Experience working with vendor application support troubleshooting complex issues
Experience writing automation using Ansible and Python doing various relevant tasks, i.e. installing software, configuring scheduled tasks.
Experience with Cloud and DevOps functionality like ARM templates or CloudFormation templates.
Experience with Troubleshooting Methodology
Desired qualifications / non-essential skills required :
Microsoft Azure DevOps / Github Actions
Google Cloud Platform(GCP) experience is a plus
Familiarity with Google Cloud Database and / or PostgreSQL
Experience Packaging and Publishing software for client consumption.
Experience with Microservice Architecture and building containers.
Experience with modern container-based applications.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $195,200.00.
