CNC MILL MACHINIST LEAD

Job Summary:

Programs, sets-up, and operates all CNC mills to perform various machining functions

Confers w/ production control to establish priorities for work orders within the dept.

Reviews supplied job data for accuracy to distribute to their dept. resources and

personnel.  Ensures company polices and procedures are followed and conducts annual

reviews of department personnel

Provides and ensures proper job training for department personnel

Functions:

Reads and interprets blueprints and related technical data

Programs (and/or loads existing programs into) machine control

Prepares, pre-sets, and installs all required tooling

Sets required work piece fixtures

Loads/unloads and inspects production parts

Adjusts machine controls to maintain or correct part tolerances

Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Ability to supervise and coordinate w/ dept. personnel

Ability to maintain a positive attitude

Experience and skilled in machining techniques

Knowledge of CNC controls and programming

Familiar w/ all company programming and machining techniques

Familiar w/ all dept. resources and tooling capabilities

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Ensures work areas are cleaned & safety is always observed
