Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, and air conditioning (HVAC), unit turnovers, carpentry, painting, and other systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Organize and oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
• Evaluates systems to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
• Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Responsible for managing the duties of outside trades, contractors, service personal and external inspections
• Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
• Strong leadership ability
• Experience in supervision of maintenance staff, contractors and tradesmen
• Basic knowledge of building systems: plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and emergency systems.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least three years of maintenance experience required.
