CGI has a need for an experienced Configuration Manager to join our team in Madison, WI. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment on technology for human services. We take an innovative approach to supporting our clients working side-by-side in collaborative environment modernizing existing technology.
This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S., preferred location is Madison, WI; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities
The Configuration Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining the configuration of our software and hardware systems; building and maintaining environments (dev, ST, UAT, Helpdesk), builds, deployments, and code repositories. This role will work closely with development teams, system administrators, and quality assurance teams to ensure the successful deployment and operation of our products.

Your future duties and responsibilities
The Configuration Manager will be responsible for managing and maintaining the configuration of our software and hardware systems; building and maintaining environments (dev, ST, UAT, Helpdesk), builds, deployments, and code repositories. - Perform unit testing using test scripts to ensure requirements are met
- Execute regression testing scripts
- Support application help desk responding to end-user calls
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Self-motivator with great attention to detail and follow through
- At least three (3) years of experience in configuration management, change management, or related IT roles.
- Experience with configuration management best practices and tools.
- Experience managing complex IT projects
- Strong analytical skills
- Continuous learner and stay current with industry trends and standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Experience with a command-line interface, preferably Linux. Not Required but useful
- Strong knowledge of configuration management processes and tools
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and practices, such as Agile or DevOps.
- Work in a dynamic environment to identify, organize, and control software and/or hardware configuration changes.
- DevOps GitHub administration experience including: Proficiency in Git commands Strong knowledge of Git workflows Experience setting up and managing repositories and organizations. Branching protection rules Implementing GitHub Actions for automation (building, testing, and deploying code) Integration of Dev Ops tools in a CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, OWASP Dependency Track, testing platforms, etc.) Hands on experience with build tools (Jenkins/Cloudbees, GitHub Actions, Bamboo) Security SAST/DAST experience GitHub Advanced Security (working with DCF security team) CVE remediation
- Nice to have experience in the following:
- Experience with Python, Docker, Containers.
- Skilled with development of automated tests using Jasmine, Karma, Mocha and related technologies.
- Experience migrating from Ant to Gradle/Maven
