Position SummaryThe Chief Maintenance Engineer (CME) is responsible for fulfilling the technical aspects of the maintenance contract, ensuring that facilities are well maintained and operable, and for managing the maintenance staff under her / his supervision. She / he serves as the technical spokesperson for the facility during client meetings and serves the role of lead technician. Assigns and schedules work, answers questions, and serves as primary quality control inspector. The CME may spend up to 80% of her / his time performing work orders as required. Interfaces with subcontractors on all requisitioned work assignments to achieve full contract compliance.
Essential Job Functions
Supervisory Responsibility
Direct supervision of team, which includes hire, train, termination, performance management, motivate and directly supervise employees. Supervision also includes new employee on-boarding and training, on-going formal and informal performance evaluation, instructing and advising staff of employee procedures and guidelines.
Education
High school diploma (or equivalent) required. Bachelors degree preferred.

Must demonstrate ability to multi-task; prioritize effectively and strong technical knowledge with a positive and service-oriented attitude. Must demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of different people in a variety of situations.
