Summary
Supervises an area responsible for the timely and comprehensive investigation and processing of assigned claims. Responsible for recruiting and hiring, coaching and mentoring, monitoring and evaluation, and addressing all disciplinary issues on the team in a timely manner.

Description

What You Will Do:
  • Ensure the timely processing and adjudication of all claims.
  • Performs quality control reviews and/or monitor performance of staff to ensure appropriate understanding and utilization of applicable laws, contract policies, and procedures.
  • Monitors production and timeliness of work and maintains desk procedures.
  • Responsible for recruiting and hiring, coaching and mentoring, monitoring and evaluation, and addressing all disciplinary issues in a timely manner.
  • Encourage staff in creating and maintaining a work environment with high morale and employee satisfaction through support of professional development, training, career growth, and rewarding high performance.
  • Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with all internal and external customers.

What is Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalency of 4 years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience.
  • 1 year of claims processing experience. 1
  • year of lead experience (may be concurrent).
  • Strong organizational, leadership, decision making, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of claims processing and related support systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
We Prefer You to Have:
  • Bachelor's degree-in Business Management or Administration.
  • 6 years-of claims processing experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience or equivalent military experience in grade E4 of above.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate and influence.
