CGS is currently seeking an experienced Server Systems Analyst to join our IT Infrastructure Department. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, enhancing, maintaining, and monitoring infrastructure systems/applications. Provides production support and assists in developing and executing strategic roadmaps with focus on server administration and management of associated infrastructure systems/applications (e.g. Physical Servers, Virtual Server Hosts/Storage, VMWare, Backup Systems).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related, or an equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience
- 7years experience in Information Technology field supporting and maintaining infrastructure/applications.
- 5 years of experience with managing and supporting server/storage systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications in technology from vendors such as Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, and/or related, or equivalent work experience with technology from these vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement and troubleshoot complex server hardware and operating systems
- In-depth experience with systems administration and data management
- Working knowledge with network infrastructure components, including hardware and security tools
- In-depth experience with virtualization solutions
- Working knowledge of information security and how it relates to management of infrastructure
- Proficient with system monitoring tools such as WhatsUpGold or Solarwinds
- Ability to implement process improvements through automation
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
