Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with 3-5 years of experience to join our growing HVAC company. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks and have hands-on experience managing general ledger, journal entries, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), banking, payments, and payroll. This role may also involve supervising one or more accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions.
Process journal entries and reconcile accounts.
Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
Handle bank reconciliations and ensure timely processing of payments.
Process payroll and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Generate financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closings.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Work closely with management to improve financial processes and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Supervise and support accounting team members as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the HVAC, construction, or service industry.
Proficiency in QuickBooks (required).
Strong understanding of general ledger, journal entries, AP/AR, banking, and payroll.
Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or a combination of experience and education.
