About the Role: As an Industrial Journeyman Electrician, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring the functionality and safety of electrical systems in industrial settings. This role requires expertise in high-voltage systems, motor controls, automation equipment, and adherence to strict safety standards. You’ll work both independently and as part of a team, tackling challenges and maintaining compliance with industrial codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including motors, transformers, generators, and control systems.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with complex electrical systems such as PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and high-voltage systems.
- Test & Inspect: Utilize advanced tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal imaging cameras to ensure the quality and safety of electrical systems.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and modify electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to improve system designs.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations (LOTO, Arc Flash, OSHA), and electrical codes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial electrical work, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex systems.
- Education: Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program with a focus on industrial electrical systems, automation, and controls.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and the ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics.
