Information Security Specialist

Warrendale, PA
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize Excel and Microsoft Office tools to generate reports and conduct security-related data analysis.
- Manage security workflows using ITSM tools such as Cherwell, ServiceNow, and SharePoint.
- Review security reports, identify required actions, and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Work independently with guidance to monitor, escalate, and resolve security concerns.
- Assist with customer interactions to resolve outstanding security issues and escalate when necessary.
- Perform user provisioning and deprovisioning in Active Directory.
- Support security operations with tools such as SailPoint, Varonis, and Delinea (formerly Thycotic), if applicable.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in IT security operations, identity and access management, or IT service management.
- Prior experience with Active Directory user provisioning and deprovisioning.
Special Requirements:
- Familiarity with security tools such as SailPoint, Varonis, and Delinea (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work independently while following established security protocols and escalation procedures.
- Strong analytical skills for reviewing reports and identifying security actions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of IT service management (ITSM) tools such as Cherwell and ServiceNow.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication skills for following up with internal teams and external customers.
Additional Desired Characteristics:
- Experience working in an enterprise security environment.
- Understanding of compliance and security best practices.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid role (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) or fully remote.
- Collaboration with IT security teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
