We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst . The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing, designing, and developing data-driven solutions that drive informed decision-making. This individual must possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, identifying areas for improvement and potential solutions.
- Design and develop web-based, data-driven dashboards using tools such as Ellucian Insights, Power BI, or Tableau to support organizational decision-making.
- Create and maintain SQL-based reports, complex queries (SQL, PL/SQL, or PostgreSQL), and data transfer/synchronization solutions (sFTP, APIs).
- Work with relational databases, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, to ensure effective data storage and retrieval.
- Support the integration and optimization of the Ellucian higher education product suite, including Banner, Insights, DataConnect, and Ethos.
- Utilize tools like Evisions Argos and FormsFusion for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Develop and maintain applications using C#.Net, HTML, and other relevant technologies in SaaS software solutions.
- Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data, adhering to standards like FERPA.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly to maintain a high standard of service.
- Provide training and technical support to end-users, fostering a strong customer service focus.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a software developer or data analyst.
- Proven expertise in developing web-based dashboards and SQL-based solutions.
- Familiarity with relational databases, specifically Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server (experience with PostgreSQL and Powershell is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of the Ellucian higher education product suite and tools such as Evisions Argos.
- Experience with C#.Net, Microsoft SQL-Server, HTML, and SaaS software solutions.
- Advanced SQL skills and the ability to work with complex queries and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a performance-driven, multi-tasking environment.
