Director, Customer Insights and Analytics

The Consumer is the driving force behind everything we do! The Director of Insights & Analytics will lead the development and execution of strategic insights initiatives to drive business growth and enhance customer engagement. This role requires a deep understanding of consumer and customer behavior, market trends, and data analytics to provide actionable data driven recommendations that inform marketing strategies, innovation, customer engagement and business decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the insights team to deliver high-quality, data-driven insights that support marketing, sales, and product development initiatives.
• Develop and implement research methodologies to gather and analyze consumer, customer, competition, and market trend data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key business questions and provide insights that drive strategic decision-making.
• Present findings and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders in a clear, concise and compelling manner.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in market research and data analytics.
• Manage relationships with external research vendors and partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality insights.  Leverage CHG consolidated purchasing across total business.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of insights tools and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making across the organization..
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education/Certifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 10 years of experience in market research, data analytics, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights. 
• Consumer Products Good experience in the foodservice and/or consumer industry.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficient use of a computer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), and other related applications or software.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
• Experience managing and developing insights professionals.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques and tools, such as machine learning and predictive modeling.
• Working knowledge of third-party data suppliers and platforms.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple direct reports including but not limited to: Sr. Manger (s), Manager (s), Analyst (s) of Insights.
• Work requires supervising and monitoring work performance of direct reports including making final decisions on hiring and disciplinary actions, evaluating program/work objectives and effectiveness, and realigning work and staffing assignments, as needed.
• Develop functional responsibilities of individuals that report to this position and ensure that best in-class output is created.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Typical work in an office environment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and using a computer that may require repetitive tasks, such as data entry and report generation.
• Must be able to lift up and carry 15 pounds at times.
