What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Engineering Manager position at CH Guenther & Son LLC?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partner with R&D, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Engineering to develop strategic capital investment plans for the network of US facilities.
- Develop equipment and process standards for facilities
- Coach and develop the Engineering and Maintenance Managers in the plants to develop and execute capital projects and technical improvements.
- Support execution of capital projects for the facilities. Partner with Engineering and Maintenance teams in these plants to support smaller projects and directly manage larger projects (typically >$500k and/or high complexity) in these plants.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education/Certifications:
- BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical preferred)
- Preferred certifications in Project Management, Combustible Dust and Hygienic design standards, TPM
Experience:
- 10 years’ experience leading capital projects and managing plant capital budgets in a high speed food manufacturing environment with progressing levels of responsibility. Bakery, Frozen, and/or Dry Mix experience preferred.
- Experience leading cross functional teams to develop technical standards and project scope.
- Preferred - Experience leading and executing projects in a TPM/continuous improvement environment
- Preferred - Experience in the manufacturing, processing, and engineering of baked and food products, regulations, and equipment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Work requires supervising and monitoring work performance of self, contractors, vendors and personnel assigned to assist with specific projects including evaluation of program/work objectives and effectiveness, and realigning work and staffing assignments, as needed.
- Work requires partnering with Engineering Managers, Maintenance Managers, and Plant Managers to accomplish the objectives
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
- Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness and/or noise.
- Work environment involves moderate exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, fire and electrical hazards.
- Must have the ability to lift, carry, pull, push and reach in order to perform various functions. Must be able to communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.
- Personal protective equipment, as defined by C.H. Guenther and Son, will be provided.
- Up to 50% travel required at times to support project execution

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is:
