The Senior Drafter plays a crucial role in creating and revising detailed technical drawings and plans, based on input from Engineers, using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This position requires a strong understanding of drafting standards, symbols, and conventions, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop detailed drawings, plans, and diagrams based on project specifications, sketches, and design calculations provided by engineers.
- Coordinate drafting activities for specific projects, ensuring all drawings, ECNs, and other pertinent information are filed and recorded in the company record management system.
- Assist engineering personnel in the development of specifications and standards and act as a liaison between departments.
- Review work for accuracy and neatness, refine, and sign off as appropriate.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date project files, documentation, and drawing archives, following established naming conventions and version control procedures.
**Requirements:**
- Associate degree in Computer Aided Design or related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solidworks).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong understanding of drafting standards, symbols, and conventions, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Working knowledge of 3D model imaging and manipulation.
