CH2M HILL BWXT West Valley, LLC (CHBWV) is the prime contractor selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to manage the Phase 1 - Facility Disposition Project at the West Valley Demonstration Project. The site is a scenic 30-minute drive south of Buffalo, New York. In cooperation with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, CHBWV continues to decontaminate and decommission facilities at this site.

The Internship Program is an 8-10-week program with a 4-day workweek (10 hours per day).

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE OF POSITION
The internship program is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, develop practical skills, enhance knowledge, and make meaningful contributions to projects. Intern assignments will be determined based on business need and role availability with consideration to skills and development goals.
The Finance and Accounting Intern will gain knowledge and experience in finance and accounting of a government contractor organization, provide support for increased departmental productivity, and develop team-oriented focus.
SPECIFIC PROJECTS / RESPONSIBILITES
- Accounts payable duties such as entering invoices into ERP system.
- Exposure to AP and AR cycles, allowing assignment of tasks as appropriate within a controlled environment.
- Assist with special projects such as collecting audit evidence or compiling electronic documentation.
REQUIREMENTS / SPECIFICATIONS
Education / Experience :
Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred
