CH2M HILL BWXT West Valley, LLC (CHBWV) is the prime contractor selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to manage the Phase 1 - Facility Disposition Project at the West Valley Demonstration Project. The site is a scenic 30-minute drive south of Buffalo, New York. In cooperation with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, CHBWV continues to decontaminate and decommission facilities at this site.

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Record Analyst will provide support and act as the point of contact for records coordinators in each department while providing forward thinking and innovative ideas for process improvements within the organization. Other responsibilities include maintaining, organizing, and managing organizational records and data while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, implementing record-keeping policies, and supporting efficient information retrieval.
REQUIREMENTS / SPECIFICATIONS
Education / Experience :BA / BS in Business Administration, Records Management, Information Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to occupation
Minimum of two (2) years related experienceLicenses / Certifications :Certificate in Records and Information Management preferred
Other Requirements :Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Familiar with Microsoft Office and records management software and toolsKnowledge of applicable legal and regulatory requirements for records retentionPreferred QualificationsContent Manager knowledge
Verifiable Training Experience (1 year)Experience in SharePoint, Power Automate, Office 365MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / SCOPE OF WORK
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following established safe work practices and procedures; including following all safety rules, use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE), investigating and reporting identified safety concerns or situations.Adhere to standards contained in the Company "Code of Conduct," Company EEO practices, and DOE directives.Develop, review, and coordinate the production of reports, records, documents, policies, and procedures.Define user requirements for computer applications for electronic document and records management systems.Develop and produce material for presentations to internal and external audiences and assist with preparing scheduled reports for management and the customer.Coordinate department and site training programs, including developing training materials and conducting training classes.Lead or act as a single point of reference for coworkers, employees, and customers in areas of responsibility (document control, records management, etc.) to accomplish work objectives, including skills required to plan, execute, control, and close activities using sound management principles.Perform assessments in functional areas, document results, and track identified corrective actions.Coordinate and implement Site File Plan activities, including the activities of records contacts, to support a site-wide Records Management Program.Interface with external and internal auditors in support of the Records Management and Document Control Programs including providing responses to corrective actions, as necessary.Evaluate, maintain, and perform records management activities for high-level waste records in accordance with applicable requirements.Interpret and apply code of federal regulations, DOE directives, regulatory requirements, National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) requirements, industry standards, Nuclear Information and Records Management (NIRMA) guidelines, various Acts, etc.Work closely with other records professionals, sharing responsibilities, and accepting a wide range of tasks to handle multiple assignments and tight deadlines.Comprehend and implement Conduct of Operations and Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) for administrative department related functional activities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Interpret and follow a wide variety of guidelines, policies, laws, and established practices to accomplish complex tasks.Manage multiple high priority tasks simultaneously.Evaluate and interpret new or changes to various levels of records management and document control requirements to determine impacts and solutions for implementation such requirements.Develop solutions to a variety of problems of limited scope and complexity.Guide and direct junior records analysts in completion of assignments and understanding of policies and procedures.Provide direction and training according to detailed written and verbal instructions and requirements to perform assigned tasks according to established procedures.Use independent judgment in locating and selecting the most appropriate records management and document control guidelines, references, and procedures.Execute a broad scope of specific records management and document control practices affecting the accuracy, reliability, or acceptability of further processes or services.Work with the functional team, coordinate work, troubleshoot problems, make recommendations, and implement corrective actions.Oversee the issue / release of documents, review, and retrieval of records under strict deadlines.Interface with individuals or groups from inside and outside of the organization.To view or apply to any open position, click here.
