Preschool Substitute Teacher

Job Summary
Are you a retired teacher looking to stay connected with the classroom? Or a college student seeking extra part-time work? We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Preschool Substitute Teacher. This flexible position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children and is available for four hours weekly and on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care and education to preschool-aged children

• Follow state regulations and the regular teacher’s guidelines for activities

• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all students

• Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a positive learning atmosphere

• Substitute in the classroom once a week and on an as-needed basis

Preferable Qualifications:

• Previous teaching experience, preferably in early childhood education

• Completion of the 40-hour Department of Children and Families (DCF) training or willingness to complete it

• Willingness to undergo fingerprinting and background check

• VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program) certification or willingness to obtain it

• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Passion for working with young children
