Summary
We are looking for an Accounting Intern (must be in College Station, TX) to assist our accounting team with day-to-day tasks and gain hands-on experience in a real-world accounting environment. The Accounting Intern will work closely with our Finance Manager to ensure financial statements are accurate and delivered in a timely manner, assist in management of cash flow, process invoices, and assist with other accounting-related tasks as needed.

The Accounting Intern will report to the Finance Manager and will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting, learn about the legal industry, and work alongside a supportive and collaborative team. This is a part-time, paid internship with a minimum of 12 working hours per week required, in office. Summary
We are looking for an Accounting Intern (must be in College Station, TX) to assist our accounting team with day-to-day tasks and gain hands-on experience in a real-world accounting environment. The Accounting Intern will work closely with our Finance Manager to ensure financial statements are accurate and delivered in a timely manner, assist in management of cash flow, process invoices, and assist with other accounting-related tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Support the monthly close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and presentations.
- Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements.
- Collect and provide invoices to department heads for accuracy and ensure payments are made on time.
- Assist in creation of annual budget and quarterly forecasting.
- Assist in maintenance of tax records, organization and filing.
- Support preparation of quarterly and annual taxes, including franchise and property tax across multiple entities.
- Ad-hoc projects as assigned.
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Gain hands-on experience in accounting processes and procedures.
