The Finance Manager will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of the firm by developing and implementing financial strategies, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our law firm and oversee all financial operations. The Finance Manager will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of the firm by developing and implementing financial strategies, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive budgeting and forecasting process that aligns with the company's strategic objectives
- Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve the firm’s goals and objectives
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making
- Provide financial recommendations and analysis on company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc. when necessary
- Manage commercial banking relationships
- Communicate with outside audit firms(s), banks and lessors, casualty/liability insurance agent(s), credit card companies, and collection agencies
- Prepare monthly financial reports and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Manage cash flow, accounts payable and receivable, cash disbursements, accurate invoicing, collections and payroll processes
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Work closely with partners and attorneys to provide financial analysis and advice
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve the firm’s financial performance
- Oversee the preparation and submission of all tax returns, including federal, state, and local taxes
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and standards, including overseeing the annual audit process
- Oversee the firm’s financial systems and processes, including accounting software and financial controls
- Evaluate accounting procedures, systems, and controls and recommend improvements in their design, implementation, and maintenance
- Manage and develop the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment with 2 years of management experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and develop a team of finance professionals
- Familiarity with financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and ability to learn programs quickly
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Salesforce experience
- Experience working for a law firm or professional services environment
