We are currently looking for a Full Time Experienced Underground Apprentice/ Helper.

Chad's Water Works Plumbing, LLC. has been in the plumbing industry since 2008. We are family owned and operated company based in Ocala, FL. We perform new construction plumbing & gas services (residential and commercial), repair/ replacement/ renovation plumbing & gas services (residential and commercial), as well as new construction and repair of septic systems.

Job Description/ Definition:

This position does require a minimum 1 yr underground/ plumbing experience. This person must be a quick learner, highly motivated, able to work independently as well as with others. You will support our skilled underground/ septic technicians in various tasks related to underground/ plumbing installation & repair, such as installation of main water lines, main sewer lines, septic systems & grease traps. This position also includes the responsibility of keeping the work truck clean, organized & properly stocked. It will also be up to the apprentice/ helper to keep the jobsite cleaned up, knowledge of 811 markers/ meanings and visual supervision of equipment operator(s) to prevent damage & liabilities. Therefore, you must be able to follow & execute instructions, have a hard work ethic & a standard of professionalism. Please do not apply if you do not fit the description above.

An underground apprentice may be required to push, pull, climb, crawl, squat or lift 50 lbs. An apprentice position requires five 8-10 hour work days a week of continuous, strenuous physical labor such as digging outside in the sun, crawling under homes, lifting & carrying heavy materials, etc. Please make sure you are physically capable and accept these work conditions prior to applying.

Salary: This is a NON-EXEMPT position.
Plumbing Apprentice: $16-$18 an hour based upon experience & tools owned.
Pay Frequency: Weekly

This Job Is:

Qualifications/ Requirements:

• Previous experience in underground/ plumbing work

• Basic math skills for measurements & calculations on job sites

• General Construction knowledge

• Ability to read a level, familiar with how gravity works

• Ability to cut and lay PVC pipe

• A strong desire to LEARN and GROW in the underground/ plumbing field

• Must have reliable transportation to & from work everyday

• Must possess a Valid Florida Drivers License

• Pass Drug Test

• Pass background check

• Clean driving record

• Arrive to work on-time everyday

• Bring proper tools to work everyday & know how to use them, such as shovels, rakes for site prep, installation & final grading

• Ability to use hand tools safely & effectively

• Physical dexterity & stamina to perform manual tasks

• Good communication skills

• Always be fair, honest and respectful to both customers and team members
