5.5 hours per day x 182 days per year

Salary $14.23 per hour

Qualifications  

1. High School Diploma - experience preferred
2. Ability to deal with interruptions
3. Ability to multi-task – flexibility
4. Effective communication skills: written – oral – telephone – interpersonal
5. Computer skills
6. Ability to work with students and meet their specific needs: emotional – social – academic – physical
7. Ability to work with teachers and staff
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality
9. Ability to supervise students using good judgment and school guidelines
10. Ability to observe, assess and problem solve
11. Ability to work independently
12. Ability to work as a team member
13. Maintain pleasant, positive child/client-centered attitude
14. Maintain a secure environment

Essential Job Functions

1. Work with students on subject matter
2. Recess/Lunch – Classroom Coverage
3. Prepare learning materials and centers (primary) 
4. Clerical – record scores, etc. 
5. Work with, assist, observe, redirect student 
6. Re-teaching – academic support 
7. Organizing 
8. Teaching social behavior 
9. Assisting child w/difficult time
10. Regular and consistent attendance 
11. Other duties as assigned by supervisor
