Resource Registered Nurse: Cardiac Rehab/Specialty Clinic/Infusion/Wound Care
Full-time (30-40 hours/week) or Part- time (20-29 hours), Permanent, Hourly
Monday-Friday Can be full or part time role but need to be available to help when needed to cover shifts for outages and vacations.
No weekends, nights, or on-call hours.
Position Summary: The resource/Float Pool RN is a versatile and highly skilled clinician responsible for providing high-quality patient care across multiple outpatient and specialty departments. RN will be cross trained in various departments.
Job Duties:
- Provide direct patient care across multiple clinical areas.
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized patient care.
- Administer medications, treatments and therapies per provider orders and established protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Educate patient and families on disease processes, treatment plans and self-care management.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety and quality assurance standards.
- Respond to rapid response and emergency situations in assigned departments as needed.
- Maintain and ensure confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Complete annual required Relias education.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Take part in quality/safety/ infection control improvement initiatives projects by observing/reporting/engaging/resolving any concerns or issues.
Education:
- Current RN license.
Experience:
- One year experience preferred.
Certifications:
- Current CPR Certification.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written communication skills in multiple relationships with variety of cultural and social backgrounds.
- Ability to recognize, anticipate, and respond to the needs of all customers in a caring, respectful, and courteous manner that leads to satisfactory resolution for the customer.
- Must be able to read and write English/ basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Must be able to use a variety of communication devices including telephone, computer, fax, copier, paging system, written and verbal skills to effectively disseminate information. Ability to monitor patient care requires visual skills.
