Chaffe McCall, LLP seeks an experienced litigation associate to join our dynamic and growing Insurance Practice group in Houston, Texas.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience and is well-versed in basic civil litigation, including : drafting answers, propounding and responding to discovery, basic motion practice, and deposing witnesses. This area of law enables practitioners to further develop their litigation skills while representing sophisticated and well-established national insurance companies. Maritime and coverage experience is a plus! The position involves working independently as well as collaboratively with other practice group lawyers. Responsibilities expected include :
Evaluating complex claims
Preparing client reports
Drafting pleadings
Attending hearings
Formulating legal strategy
Conducting legal research
Managing discovery and document production
Attend and take depositions
Working on all aspects of pretrial to trial
