Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal welfare and possess the expertise to provide high-quality medical care to a diverse range of animals. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with staff and pet owners, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including administering vaccinations, medications, and performing surgeries as necessary.
  • Utilize aseptic techniques during surgical procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
  • Provide guidance on animal husbandry practices to pet owners for optimal care at home.
  • Restrain animals safely during examinations and procedures, ensuring minimal stress for both the animal and staff.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, documenting treatments, progress, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff in delivering high-quality care.
  • Educate pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, grooming, and behavioral issues.
  • Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
  • Valid veterinary license in the state of practice.
  • Experience or knowledge in animal physiology, animal care, and laboratory procedures is preferred.
  • Familiarity with equine care is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Skills in dog handling and pet grooming are advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • A commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Pay: $112,907.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
