JOB SUMMARY:
Supervises the daily operations of the Warehouse department, overseeing administrative and clerical functions to ensure efficiency and a safe work environment. Manages scheduling and monitors associate activities and equipment usage to meet or exceed company goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plans, implements, and monitors daily warehouse operations, ensuring objectives for shipping, product rotation, sanitation, safety, and timeliness are consistently met or exceeded. (25%)
- Monitors loading, dispatch, and receiving times, making necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with QIP, HACCP, and DOT regulations. (25%)
- Routinely communicates with associates to ensure adherence to established productivity, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures. (25%)
- Monitors and completes various computer-based and manual reports, including time records, daily logs, and damage reports. (10%)
- Audits product damage and delivery routes to ensure reliable product delivery. (5%)
- Plans and schedules manpower as needed. (5%)
- Plans and coordinates vehicle and equipment maintenance, ensuring proper utilization and reporting. (5%)
- Performs additional duties as required.
LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY:
Supervises up to 100 hourly associates, depending on the facility size. Manages projects and assignments that have significant impact on customer service.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
AA degree from an accredited vocational, technical, or junior college institution. Forklift instructor certification.
Experience:
3 to 6 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expert Knowledge: Relevant safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Basic Knowledge: Storage and shipment of food or allied products, food and material handling, inventory control techniques, barcoding, company computer systems, warehouse racking systems/processes, supervisory concepts, and regulatory standards (OSHA, USDA, AIB, HACCP).
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to lead a diverse workforce in a 24/7 operation
- Experience working in a union environment
- Supervise and motivate associates in a team-based setting
- Diagnose and address operational issues in the warehouse
- Work effectively in a general business environment with a focus on high quality and customer service

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
