Job Overview
We are seeking reliable, compassionate, and professional drivers to transport ambulatory and wheelchair patients to and from medical appointments, treatments, and other essential destinations in the Johnston, Harnett, Wayne, Cumberland and Wake County areas. This role is perfect for a retired individual looking to supplement their income while maintaining a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a vehicle to transport patients in accordance with schedule and safety standards.
- Assist wheelchair patients in boarding and disembarking from the vehicle.
- Ensure patients are securely fastened and comfortable throughout the trip.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the assigned vehicle.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients during transportation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in patient transportation or a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate wheelchair lifts or ramps safely and effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or evenings, if required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
