What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician (Chair City Pharmacy, LLC) position at Chair City Pharmacy, LLC?
Working directly under the supervision of the Pharmacist in Charge, this position is responsible for processing prescriptions for shipment, answering phones, and acting as a customer service representative as needed. This position is responsible for ensuring that prescriptions are accurately and timely filled.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Enter prescription information into system to be verified by the Pharmacist
- Prepare prescription labels and multi-dose trays with selected medication to be filled while ensuring accuracy of quantity
- Assist in preparation for delivery and billing
- Replenish all pharmacy supplies as needed
- Ensure the pharmacy is clean and stations are filled
- Provide customer service as needed including answering phones and confirming prescription accuracy
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Massachusetts Registered Technician License or Technician Trainee License in good standing
- Demonstrates computer acumen including Microsoft Office and data entry
- Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
- Certified Pharmacy Technician License preferred
- 2 years relevant pharmacy experience preferred
- Retail, long-term care or mail order experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work a rotating schedule as determined by your direct Supervisor during hours of operations, Monday through Friday 8:00am to 7:00 pm.
- Must be able to work a weekend rotation as determined by Supervisor. (Saturday and Sunday) from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position including standing or sitting for up to 8 hours per day
