SHIFT
Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm; must be flexible to stay late & come in early as needed; weekends as needed
JOB SUMMARY
The Inventory Control Specialist will perform inventory cycle counts of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. The Inventory Clerk will compile spreadsheets and reports to account for the inventory levels, costs, and value of waste.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Works closely with other departments to solve inventory errors
- Completes cycle counts and reconciliation of items
- Prepares inventory adjustments from damages, donations, and rework
- Maintain and organize the filing of all necessary documents pertaining to inventory.
- Perform cycle counts before and after production runs, as well as cycle counts for items
- Ensure accurate postings of daily production in systems and ensure process orders are closed in a timely and accurate manner. Reconcile finished goods production with inventory in systems
- Analyzes inventory records and data records to effectively manage inventory.
- Coordinates physical inventory audits and accounting
- Reconciles assigned productions for onsite and offsite locations
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, investigate discrepancies and adjust errors
- Requisition and maintain inventories of materials necessary to meet production demands
- Record production data including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, packaging and finished goods
- Complies and maintains records of the quantity, type, and value of material/supplies in warehouse
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures ( SOPs), plant safety regulations, food safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Will perform other duties when requested
Education/Experience:
- High School Diplomas or equivalent
- 2-3 years inventory control
- Food manufacturing experience highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of inventory systems, Microsoft Office ( Excel ) and other Microsoft Office Programs
- Strong data entry skills
- Detail oriented; time management skills are essential
- Ability to work in team environment
- Self starter, reliable and able to perform duties without direct supervision
Work Environment:
- Will work in office setting
- Will work in environment where safety precautions are required to be followed
- Protective gear such as gloves, work boots, and smocks are required in some areas
- Will occasionally work around moving machinery
- Will occasionally work in environment where temperature is 0- 40 degrees Fahrenheit
Physical Demands:
- High degree of flexibility, as work involves a lot of sitting, standing, bending, walking, etc.
- Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs
