Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and enjoyably. This position requires excellent communication skills, a passion for guest services, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff. Of course you can work your way up to serving. Tip money made by the server will be dispersed out based off of percentage. Pay will be above $17 an hour but may vary each pay period. Responsibilities
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure that all food items are presented beautifully and meet quality standards before serving.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate order timing and special requests.
- Assist servers by providing them with necessary items such as utensils, condiments, or beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area throughout service.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy, enhancing their dining experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with any POS system is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn about food service operations.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
