Job Overview:
We are seeking a Retail Sales Associate to join our crystals and jewelry shop team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for crystals and metaphysical practices, as well as strong communication skills to assist and educate customers. Initially, the store owner will work closely with you, providing hands-on training for three days a week (approximately 9 AM - 4 PM). As you gain knowledge about the crystals and their properties, you will be trusted to manage the shop independently. Additionally, you will handle the shop’s social media presence, including responding to messages and posting pre-made images and captions. With minimal foot traffic, there will be downtime, making this position perfect for someone who can balance in-store tasks with online responsibilities. Given that the store owner also performs reiki, chakra balancings, and consulting for clients, all associates must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) due to the sensitive nature of the work and potential clientele.
Duties:
- Greet and assist customers, offering personalized guidance on crystals and their properties
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Assist with social media management, including responding to customer inquiries and posting provided content
- Communicate effectively to explain crystal properties and assist with customer questions
- Ensure client confidentiality by adhering to the signed NDA
- Keep an eye on store inventory and report any items that need restocking
Requirements:
- Knowledge of crystals, metaphysical properties, and an interest in spirituality or energy work
- Previous retail experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and explain products
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook
- Ability to work independently and manage downtime effectively
- Flexibility in schedule as needed to support the store's hours and special events
- Willingness to sign an NDA to protect client confidentiality
