Job Title: SAFETY & TRAINING SPECIALIST
Job Description: The Safety and Training Specialist will lead, develop and implement a comprehensive health and safety program to support Chalfant, ensuring regulatory compliance through policy enforcement, facility evaluations, and accident investigations, while also delivering engaging training sessions and driving continuous improvement.
Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 plus annual target incentive
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety and technical training
- Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
- Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention, as well as technical training
- Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
- Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
- Support and assist in investigating accidents or incidents to discover root causes
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
- Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate‘s degree in Business Management, Manufacturing,
- Certifications: OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 Training
Knowledge and Experience:
- Required:
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in similar sized manufacturing or fabrication facility
- Preferred:
- Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines in manufacturing
- Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
- Ability to analyze data and conduct risk assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
