Job Description: Under the direction of the Project Manager, this position is responsible for performing Janitorial duties for the meat room and related areas. Clean, sanitize, wrapping areas and equipment. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential.
Responsibilities and duties of this position include but not limited to:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Clean and sanitize fixtures, equipment, and expose surfaces.
Clean and sanitize floor, walls, ceiling, and exteriors of light fixtures.
Clean and sanitize glass, mirrored surfaces, doors, sinks and tables.
Clean and sanitize underneath non-movable structures, drains and grease traps, and floor mats.
Clean and sanitize meat rails, meat traps, pans, racks, knives, meat saws and grinders.
Remove all trash and cardboard from meat processing area.
Empty trim barrels, clean and sanitize area where trim barrels are kept.
Move items needed to clean floor and return to original location after cleaning.
Meat room must be free of any meat particles, grease or other residue to sight and touch.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to follow oral or written instructions.
Ability to work effectively with a team.
Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort.
Basic knowledge of cleaning products and understanding the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) or willing to learn.
Good client/customer service skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have previous knowledge of performance-based cleaning or the willingness to learn.
Must be able to pass a background check

Sight required to visually check for stocking accuracy and visual appeal.
Ability to work in an environment with dust.
