Challenge Island is looking for high-energy, enthusiastic teachers and assistants to join our team for part-time, STEAM-focused summer camps and exciting on-site field trips in McKinney, TX, Murphy, TX, and the surrounding areas.
As a Challenge Island Teacher or Assistant, you’ll lead kids on amazing journeys of creativity and innovation. Your students will have the chance to think like engineers, scientists, and entrepreneurs as they tackle hands-on challenges in a collaborative, team-based environment. From pop culture and history to science, art, and geography – our challenges cover it all, ensuring every day is a new adventure.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead fun, interactive STEAM challenges for children in a variety of subjects, including science, art, geography, history, literature, and more!
- Foster teamwork and problem-solving skills as kids work together to tackle challenges and create amazing projects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship, encouraging children to think critically and creatively.
- Work at various locations across McKinney, Murphy, and surrounding areas, including schools and recreation centers.
What We’re Looking For:
- A passion for working with kids and a love for STEAM education.
- Previous experience working with children, whether as a teacher, tutor, camp counselor, or in another child-focused role.
- Strong classroom management and time management skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and ready to make a difference!
- No certification required – just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
