Who We Want

Challenge Mfg. Company’s Internship Program allows students to obtain real world work experience through technical and software exposure. This exposure is granted through individual projects, hands-on tasks on the plant floor, and much more. Challenge Mfg. Company prides itself on giving students a head start on experience in the Automotive Industry to enhance their future.

We are currently looking for a Advanced Quality Control to join our team!

What You'll Do

• Safe Launch instructions creation to ensure zero defect launch
• Investigate potential improvements for customer PPAP tracker for Advance Quality Engineers
• Attend and support part/equipment run-off at internal or supplier locations (shadowing)
• Organize and improve structure for customer SPECs folder re-arrangement
• Support and assist in migrating PPAP packages to Part-information folder
• General support in program launch and Engineering Change process, e.g., coordinating parts for measurement at CMM lab, take picture and catalog parts, verify production documentation has been submitted to PLEX
• and follow up for missing content
• Investigate potential AI solutions for in-process defect identification
• Consider potential use of PowerBI to drive analytics and reporting for quality KPIs

This position will be located at our Corporate Office in Walker, MI.

What You Need To Have

• Must be pursuing a four-year Bachelor’s degree related to Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from a accredited college or university
• Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 to be considered for the Internship program
• Must have superior verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in global manufacturing environment
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
