Position Summary:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Crew Leader is responsible for supervising work-related opportunities for people who have different abilities to work with integrated teams and receive work support and development as needed—achieving the highest level of independence possible.
Assists with the supervision of employees and clients in the performance of shelf stocking. Ensures all safety procedures are followed and to maintain customer satisfaction while maintaining quality. Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers, communicating needs to the supervisor, and implementing feedback for improvement. Performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality, and customer service.
Shift: Full-Time Nights
Pay Rate: $18.20 per hour
Location: Fort Cavazos Commissary
Job Duties:
1. Performance Support: Assist crew in completing contract required tasks, ensuring work is performed according to the contract’s statement of work, company policies and procedures. Stocks and straightens merchandise for sale in the store. Displays merchandise by a predetermined placement system using labels or other identifying marks. Develop, modify, and complete contract paperwork as needed and/or required. Support PM (Project Manager) in all needed tasks.
2. Quality Assurance: Maintain quality control standards. Complete regular inspections and quality control reports. Promptly correct any deficiencies and rectify any customer complaints. Respond to nightly Government inspections.
3. Customer Satisfaction: Communicate as needed with customers. Communicate regularly with workers and supervisors about updates, changes, needs, procedures, and company policies.
4. Client Development (Operations Work/Job Skills): Assist with meeting the needs of clients while fulfilling contract obligations. Apply techniques for working with individuals with disabilities in the workplace. Train and help clients develop job skills, communicating needs to management and implementing feedback for improvement.
5. Effective Leadership: Supervise Store Workers and assist with supervision of janitors, ensuring work is performed according to the contract’s statement of work, company policies, and procedures. Create schedules and/or task assignments for the crew daily if/as assigned. Oversee new worker training and ongoing training for all crew members. Communicate job expectations. Complete daily crew/building sheets and monthly/quarterly assessment forms as assigned. Ensure that safety guidelines and policies are followed; conduct safety training and provide personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. Report client, employee, and customer issues to Project Manager; make recommendations for corrective actions as needed. Assist with building an effective company culture that embodies our Company values to achieve optimum performance levels and achieve goals and objectives.

Position Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Experience: 1 years of work experience, preferably in retail, grocery, or convenience store environment or department manager.
- Computer Skills: Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Background Checks: Must pass criminal background checks, State and Federal registry checks, DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check.
- Driving: Company travel using personal insured vehicle is not required.
- Sitting: Occasionally sitting in the normal course of office-sedentary type work.
- Standing: Frequently standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and twisting while stocking, organizing, arranging, and cleaning.
- Hearing, Speaking: Frequently listens and speaks with managers, clients, and employees to communicate instructions, exchange feedback, conduct meetings and communicate regarding contracts.
- Seeing: Continually visually alert to monitor the area where work is performed, the stocking equipment and other workers’ actions to maintain safety and complete stocking service duties.
- Handling Frequently: using hands in typing, writing, filing, stocking, organizing, arranging, and cleaning.
- Movement: Frequently bending, squatting, and reaching to move, stock, inspect and inventory product. Occasionally climbing, crawling, twisting, and kneeling to move, stock and inventory product.
- Lifting: Frequently lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs. of product cases and uses team lifting practices.
