Position Title Talent Acquisition Specialist I – II
Position Reports to: Director of Human Resources & People Operations
Supervises: None

Pay Rate: Salary $50,000 - $69,139
Hourly Rate: $24.04 – $33.24 (DOE)
Profit Sharing: Company Profit Sharing is available

Role: As a Talent Acquisition Specialist I or II, you will leverage broad knowledge and experience in recruiting/talent acquisition to support and improve the recruitment and talent acquisition processes and successes for several entities under The Challenger Group umbrella of companies. Full cycle recruitment. Strategically and proactively sources passive and active candidates to build and maintain a quality talent pipeline for current and future workforce needs. Understands external labor market conditions. Leverages effective, economical, and appropriate sources/channels and methods. Builds and maintains relationships with potential candidates, recruitment agencies, schools, and associations. Review applicants’ resumes, contact candidates to ascertain fit and interest, and refer to hiring managers as appropriate. Extends offers and negotiates compensation. May participate in onboarding and facilitate new employee orientation.
Essential Functions:
- Serves as primary contact for outside recruiters and headhunting firms
- Supports local recruiting and outreach efforts to meet or exceed monthly and annual recruiting targets as efficiently and effectively as possible
- Supports the employment brand by providing a positive candidate experience
- Partners with hiring managers to generate accurate job descriptions
- Coordinates participation in career/job fairs
- Additional contact for local college and university career centers
- Sources applicants
- Conducts telephone/video interview screens
- Manages all talent acquisition social media postings
- Facilitates the interview process
- Creates offer letters and coordinates offer negotiations
- Communicates candidate turndowns at every stage gate in the process
- Continued involvement in and refinement of the recruitment process
- May facilitate new hire orientations and onboarding activities
- Assists with additional projects and administrative tasks as assigned
Minimum Required Education/Credentials/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Associate degree or a combination of college courses and job experience
- Level II: Minimum of two to four (2-4) years of proven experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, sourcing, interviewing, scheduling, and communicating with candidates
- Experience with job requisitions and posting open jobs externally and internally
- Experience conducting telephone/video interviews
- Level II: Experience creating, editing, and presenting offer of employment letters
- Commitment to providing excellent candidate experiences
- Demonstrated confidentiality required regarding employment offers and negotiations
- Ability to work well with others in a highly team-focused, collaborative environment
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficiency in a Microsoft Office environment (MS Word & MS Excel)
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and administer multiple tasks
- Level II: Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision
- Skilled in exercising a high degree of orderliness and diplomacy
Preferred Education/Credentials/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of talent acquisition best practices preferred
- Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) preferred
- Experience with Salary.com or similar job pricing platforms preferred
- Experience and/or knowledge of employment branding and social media employment marketing (posting) preferred
- Experience communicating candidate turndowns and offers preferred
- Experience with internal recruitment preferred
