Position Summary
The HRIS Systems & Data Integration Lead is responsible for overseeing the integrity, security, and seamless integration of Challenger School Foundation’s HRIS (Dayforce) and associated data ecosystems. Located onsite at our corporate headquarters in Sandy, Utah (no remote option), this critical role reports directly to the Director of Human Resources with a dotted-line relationship to the Director of Research. The incumbent will handle sensitive HR data—encompassing medical, financial, legal, and personal employee records—requiring impeccable attention to data governance, security protocols, and strict privacy compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. HRIS Administration and Security Oversight
· Administer, maintain, and configure the Dayforce HRIS, ensuring rigorous security standards, confidentiality, data integrity, and system availability.
· Oversee Dayforce updates, configurations, and role-based access control aligned with internal and external compliance requirements.
· Conduct periodic audits of HRIS usage, access privileges, and system logs to ensure strict adherence to privacy and security guidelines for the information that falls within the scope of the role.
2. Vendor Coordination and Qualtrics Ticket Management
· Serve as primary liaison with Dayforce (Ceridian), managing secure communication for system upgrades, patches, and technical issues.
· Efficiently manage and securely resolve support tickets submitted via Qualtrics, particularly sensitive payroll and HRIS data issues, providing timely resolutions while maintaining confidentiality.
3. Secure Data Integration and Governance
· Design, implement, and manage secure integrations among Dayforce, Snowflake, PowerSchool SIS, and other enterprise platforms.
· Implement security-conscious ETL processes, employing secure sandbox environments and carefully managed external access integrations in Snowflake.
· Maintain governance over external code execution within Snowflake’s secure environment, ensuring external code adherence to strict data handling protocols and audit trails.
4. Data Mapping, Canonical Structures, and Auditing
· Execute meticulous data mapping and transformation across various databases, preserving canonical structures and ensuring referential accuracy.
· Regularly audit and document integration processes, workflows, and data movement, maintaining comprehensive records to safeguard against data breaches or unauthorized access.
5. Advanced Analytics and Cross-Departmental Data Collaboration
· Support the Director of Research through precise, secure integration of HR data into broader analytics and research initiatives.
· Uphold minimal privilege and role-based access protocols, clearly separating research datasets from production and sensitive employee datasets.

6. Compliance, Documentation, and Security Auditing
· Develop comprehensive documentation and storage for payroll, DSAL (Deferred Salary) wage calculations, benefit deductions, and salary banks, clearly outlining security measures and controls.
· Perform ongoing internal audits and security reviews to guarantee full compliance with FERPA, HIPAA, GDPR, and internal data governance policies.
7. HRIS Workflow and User Training
· Collaborate on designing secure HRIS workflows, self-service portals, and Dayforce Hub content reflecting Challenger School’s stringent security and privacy policies.
· Provide regular training, resources, and guidelines for HR and cross-departmental teams, emphasizing secure and compliant HRIS use.
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Data Management, or related field.
· Minimum of 5 years HRIS administration experience, including at least 3 years in secure enterprise-level data integration.
· Advanced proficiency in SQL, database management, and cloud-based data warehousing platforms (Snowflake).
· Demonstrable expertise in ETL processes, secure API integration, and meticulous data governance.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Master’s degree Information Systems, Human Resources, Data Management, or related field.
· In addition to HRIS administration experience, proven experience working in cross-functional work groups representing different business-units.
· Implementation of artificial intelligence tools/methods in the HR space
Preferred (but not required) Certifications:
· Snowflake SnowPro Certification
· Dayforce HCM Certification
· HR Certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR)
Desired Technical and Security Competencies:
· Extensive knowledge of data privacy and protection standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, FERPA).
· Familiarity with Snowflake’s secure sandbox execution environment, external access integrations, and curated package management.
· Proven experience managing sensitive data environments, preventing unauthorized data exfiltration, and overseeing external code execution security.

· Deep understanding of sandboxing principles, privilege minimization, and secure network integration (specifically within Snowflake).
