Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the parts department and assist internal customers (technicians)
- Accomplish objectives through the use of proper inventory control
- Manage parts inventory & maintain visibility of aging product and ROI
- Work with the Shop Manager and technicians to ensure parts are in-stock in a timely manner as needed for all scheduled builds and / or repairs
- Assemble complete orders from varying manufacturers & provide to technicians for scheduled builds
- Accept incoming shipments & product, verify count / quantity and receive in to the system
- Effectively train & supervise all parts associates to meet company goals; handle stock order procedures
- Keep up-to-date on manufacturer warranty, policy, and return procedures
- Knowledge and compliance with the federal, state, and local regulations that affect operation
- Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them
- Hire, train, motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of all parts staff
- Ensure that incoming inventory is stocked in the correct location
- Maintain a stabilized inventory consistent with the requirements of the defined areas
- Accurately maintain inventory count of parts and accessories and keep electronic inventory updated
- Implement & carry out safety requirements
- Communicate effectively on RMA's, shortages, concerns which may impact operations
