Job Title: Director of Business and Talent Initiatives
Reports To: Chamber President
FLSA Status: Part-Time | Contract Position | Hybrid (remote and in person)
Summary:
Under the direction of the Chamber President, the Director of Business and Talent Initiatives has direct responsibility, accountability, leadership, execution and oversight for all Chamber Foundation programs and events including budget management and tracking along with program management and execution to meet or exceed the established revenue and participation goals. These programs provide leadership development, education, community support and engagement, workforce development, and business education partnerships which support the vision, mission and strategic plan of the Chamber. This position in conjunction with the Chamber President works to identify new business education partnership opportunities to connect local businesses and school districts.
Essential Duties:

- Direct responsibility, accountability, leadership and oversight for the execution of all current and future chamber foundation programs meeting or exceeding all established revenue and participation goals that support the Chamber’s vision, mission and strategic plan.
- Accountability for management and tracking of all chamber foundation program and event budgets including revenues, expenses, and participation goals in conjunction with the Chamber President and Chamber Director of Finance.
- Management and tracking of revenues and expenses within the approved program and event budgets to meet or exceed the established goals. Any expense variations from the final budget must be approved in advance by the Chamber President and reviewed with the Chamber Director of Finance.
- Identify new business partnerships, grant opportunities and revenue streams aligning with the organizational mission and vision of the Chamber to grow current and support new foundation programs.
- Develop of new talent and leadership programs that meet the identified needs of membership organizations in conjunction with the Chamber President.
- Direct, develop and grow current Business Education Partnership initiatives with local school districts.
- Recruitment of speakers required for chamber foundation programs and events.
- Create and provide opportunities for business and non-profits to collaborate, connect and support one another.
- Identify organizations for potential chamber membership and support chamber membership connections.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams with a developed knowledge of the Chamber’s membership database.
- Effective use of established chamber program and project management tools and resources.
- Regular communication with chamber staff members for program marketing, sponsorship and other support needs.
- Available to work additional hours outside of the Chamber’s normal business hours to ensure the timely completion of all responsibilities related to this position.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Chamber President.
- This is a part-time, contract position offering a combination of remote and in-person work.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
