What You’ll Be Accountable For
- Approve and supervise modifications to existing databases and database management systems.
- Instruct and mentor staff on coding logical and physical database descriptions and specify database identifiers for management systems.
- Direct database development and approve project scope, limitations, and objectives.
- Estimate time and costs for database-related projects based on user needs and requests.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard sensitive information against unauthorized access or damage.
- Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new software products and system enhancements.
- Establish and enforce standards and guidelines to protect information and guide software usage and acquisition.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 11-15 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on leadership and mentorship.
- Java 17, Spring Boot 3, Node.js, React.js, Azure Cloud, and NoSQL database expertise.
- Strong experience in solution design and analytical problem-solving.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on problem-solving and interpersonal interactions.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong mentoring and leadership skills to guide and support junior engineers.
- In-depth knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to delivery and maintenance.
- Expertise in troubleshooting issues and making system-level changes to resolve problems.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and development tools like SQL and VisualBasic.
