Chamberlain Advisors is currently conducting an executive search seeking a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis for its direct client, a rapidly growing PE-backed commercial roofing business services platform. The Manager of FP&A will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across corporate and operating entities. Reporting to the CFO, this role oversees variance analysis, financial modeling, KPI tracking, and board reporting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and driving strategic insights. Additionally, the Manager of FP&A will collaborate with Controllers on M&A, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration, while also supporting ERP implementation, treasury functions, and process improvements. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, data-driven finance professional to drive financial strategy, process improvements, and operational efficiency in a dynamic and growing organization.

Core profile: alignment with one of these two core profiles is required to get you in the conversation.

  • Manager of FP&A for a PE-backed company: A finance leader with experience supporting the financial strategy and operations of a PE-backed company in the commercial business services or manufacturing sector. Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reporting, while driving financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Accountable for cash flow management, capital allocation, treasury functions, and financial integrations, providing strategic insights to support growth initiatives. Plays a key role in aligning financial operations with business objectives, ensuring data-driven decision-making and long-term value creation.
  • Senior Financial Analyst, Growth-Focused Finance Professional: A results-driven finance professional with experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support business decision-making. Highly analytical with expertise in financial consolidations, bottom-up forecasting and budgeting, material cost analysis, and cash flow projections. Skilled in preparing financial statements, board reporting, and building out comprehensive reporting packages to drive strategic decision-making. Strong proficiency in financial modeling, KPI tracking, trend analysis, and treasury functions, collaborating closely with Controllers and senior leadership. Excels in dynamic environments, providing data-driven insights and financial strategies to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Differentiators: these will set you apart in the selection process.

Someone with a continuous improvement mindset capable of driving for results often with limited or incomplete information. Fast learner who takes initiative to learn quickly, is proactive and goal-oriented, and runs with what information is available versus waiting to be told what to do next.
  • Sharp, Strategic Thinking, & Problem Solving – Candidates should describe themselves as sharp, hardworking, and capable of quickly noticing issues, trends, or opportunities. Able to work upwards (to CEO, CFO, Private Equity Partners, Board of Directors) and across the business (interdepartmental, customers, vendors, etc.); can “see around the corners” to add value to the business and be a strong strategic thinker.
  • Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement Mindset – Candidates who identify, plan, and spearheaded key business optimization initiatives following industry best practices; identifying process consolidation opportunities, process flow improvements, etc. that will result in cost savings, and an overall improvement to operations, services, and customer satisfaction.
  • Accounting, Financial Planning, Analysis, & Reporting – A CPA-level candidate is preferred, with expertise in financial planning and analysis, ensuring transparency into business performance. The role involves leading the preparation of annual operating budgets, managing short- and long-range (1, 3, and 5-year) planning and forecasting, and collaborating with functional leaders to ensure accurate and strategic budgeting. Responsibilities include overseeing financial reporting, KPIs, and variance analysis while developing reporting packages for the executive team and Board. Providing strategic insights into P&L and key metrics, monitoring performance against budgets, and adjusting forecasts as needed. As well as formulating cash management strategies to minimize risk and support ongoing operations, with flexibility to assist with accounting-related activities when necessary.
  • Core Leadership Criteria - A results-driven leader with strong professional fortitude, strategic and tactical decision-making skills, and a hands-on, pragmatic approach. Demonstrates servant leadership through transparency, teamwork, and disciplined execution while fostering alignment and trust. Builds strong relationships by being an open-minded, empathetic, and influential collaborator who listens, guides, and drives meaningful change. Executes with structure, discipline, and a focus on achieving win-win outcomes.

Skilled in leveraging automation, dashboards, and advanced Excel or BI tools to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
