Position Summary: We are currently seeking a dynamic and committed Art Teacher to join our team. The mission of our Arts Program is to provide students with the opportunity to explore and develop their creative skills while offering a strong cultural and therapeutic context. The program aims to engage students in a variety of artistic expressions and activities that foster emotional and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach art at various levels to students with diverse learning needs.
- Provide an engaging and creative learning experience that promotes self-expression and artistic development.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that accommodate students' individual educational and therapeutic needs.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to support student growth and success.
- Participate in school meetings and events as required.
Qualifications:
- MA licensure in Art Education (Grades 5-12) or eligibility to be granted a license waiver while pursuing relevant coursework.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students facing various learning and emotional challenges.
- Passion for teaching and dedication to helping students succeed.
