Job Description
Opportunity at a Glance
This position is responsible for providing strategic communications counsel for institutional communications to enhance consistency, strategic approach, and alignment of messaging for Walden University, an Adtalem Global Education institution, in support of our strategic growth objectives. Provides strategic communications counsel for institution communications and cascades gold-tier communications information to ensure consistency of messaging and equip institutions with Adtalem highlights for need-to-know colleagues. Additionally, this person will foster engagement and build affinity among key stakeholders while capturing and conveying the unique student experience, the brand identity, and our organization’s commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and educational justice. As a member of the Global Communications and Corporate Affairs team supporting Walden University, this position will ensure the quality of communications with stakeholders through storytelling opportunities that enhance the Walden brand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages and provides input into a comprehensive communications strategy to reinforce image and reputation with students, colleagues, and alumni.
- Provides communications counsel and oversight of institution employee and student communications to ensure consistency of messaging and alignment with defined business objectives.
- Develops and deploys all colleague and student communications plans and messaging.
- Supports high-profile, high-sensitivity communications for institutional senior leadership as needed.
- Maintains quality standards for all publications and communications.
- Identify and develop opportunities for content generation
- Conducts ongoing and annual assessments of communications effectiveness at the institution level as it relates to brand reputation, awareness and achieving communications goals.
