The full-time Accounts Payable Professional plays a vital role in the company. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in customer service and teamwork while having a strong knowledge in bookkeeping. This position has a high-volume workload as the workload encompasses Chamberlin Agriculture's five locations; three in Washington, one in Oregon, and one in California. This is not a remote work position. Our business hours are seasonal; 7am thru 5pm or 8am thru 4pm.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Professional, genuine customer service aptitude.
- Assist with accurate and timely invoicing and billing.
- Process financial transactions including entry of; purchase orders, receipt of goods, invoices, statements, expense reimbursement requests, and other account recordkeeping.
- Review, compare and analyze purchase orders and invoices to ensure accurate pricing, terms of payment, special terms, shipping costs, sales tax and other charges.
- Ensure accurate general ledger coding and cost center determination.
- Perform research and reconcile any discrepancies on invoices, statements or account balances, communicating with vendors and coworkers as necessary.
- Utilize accounting software to perform account maintenance, record entries and reconcile accounts.
- Accurate and timely payment of all accounts payable via check, wire, and ACH transmittal.
- Assist with answering multi-line phones and operate various office machines.
- Assist with special projects, vendors and team members as needed.
- Other similar duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Complete comfort with math, calculations and conversions.
- Competency with computer systems and applications including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel. QuickBooks desktop software. Sage 100 computer experience is a plus, not required.
- Minimum 2-5 years of high volume accounts payable experience required. Previous experience working in the agriculture industry is a plus, but not required.
- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail. Ability to proofread your own work as well as others.
- Critical thinking skills; analyze, interpret, evaluate and make a judgement about what you read, hear, say, or write.
- Good listening and professional communications skills.
- Reliable, proven work ethic, sensitive to deadlines, timeliness.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Business or Accounting degree preferred.
Salary and Benefits:
$18 - $25 Actual hourly wage may differ based upon skills and experience. The position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision and mental health insurance, 401k, and profit sharing. Details to be discussed during the interview process.
