What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service/Counter Sales position at Chamberlin Agriculture?
The Customer Service/Counter Sales position is a full-time position that will interface with customers and provide them services in person, over the phone and online. This position may work 10 hours a day depending on seasonal needs. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, reliable, and possess a good attitude. Forklift experience is a plus.
Requirements:Duties/Responsibilities:
- Interacts with customers via telephone, email, online, or in person to provide support and information on product services.
- Collects and enters orders for new or additional products or services.
- Field customer questions and product orders. When inquiries are beyond the representatives' knowledge they are to be forwarded to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff.
- Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers' problems or concerns.
- Maintains accounts and records of customers interactions with details of inquiries, or comments.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills including active listening.
- Service oriented.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Customer service experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift, push, carry and pull 50 lbs. frequently.
- 10 plus hours a day depending on seasonal needs.
Work Environment:
This position works in a warehouse setting with some outdoor exposure during the day. This position routinely uses equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours are typically Monday through Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm. Some Saturdays are required (7:00am to noon).
Salary and Benefits:
$18.00 - $20.00/hr. Rates may differ depending on skills and experience. This position is eligible for Vacation, Holiday pay, Health, Dental, Vision insurance, 401k and profit sharing. Details to be discussed during application process.
