Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our property management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations and experience with LIHTC properties. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing property operations, ensuring compliance with all Fair Housing regulations and legal requirements.
- Handle data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date records of tenant information and contracts.
- Support the leasing process by conducting property tours, upselling available units, and negotiating lease terms with prospective tenants.
- Respond to tenant inquiries and concerns in a professional manner, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with the property management team to implement marketing strategies that enhance occupancy rates.
- Prepare and maintain office documents, reports, and correspondence related to property management activities.
- Assist in coordinating maintenance requests and ensuring timely resolution of issues affecting tenants.
- Must be able to understand how the eviction process works in order to assist with eviction process.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience with court process
- Proficient in data entry with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate lease agreements effectively.
- Strong phone etiquette for professional communication with tenants and vendors.
- Organizational skills to manage office tasks efficiently.
- Background in legal administrative tasks is a plus.
- Sales experience or an aptitude for upselling is beneficial.
